Titre assez similaire à Madness dans sa structure et dans sa sonorité. Matta écrit le titre en echo au désespoir dans le monde : élection de Trump etc. Cette version divise énormément les fans qui préfère généralement la version plus organique.

C’est la première version que le groupe a créée avant de rajouter plein d’effet de synthé que l’on retrouve dans la version normale.

Dig Down est sorti en 2017 juste avant la tournée des amphithéâtres US lors du Drones Tour. C’est Dig Down qui était alors joué en ouverture de concert. Lors du Simulation Theory Tour le groupe choisi en revanche, de jouer la version gospel, lors du seul moment calme du concert. Le titre n’est pas revenu depuis.
